At the beginning of December Legal RM set up the "Legal Records Management Group" on LinkedIn to support the legal community around various aspects of Physical and Electronic Records Management.
Keith Dacey, Director at Legal RM said, "Following the success of the Legal RM Networking Forums which we have been running for almost two years, we felt there was a need for firms to be able to reach out to their peers as and when required, in order to promote best practices within the Legal and wider Professional Services Community" Dacey continued "Our quarterly meetings are sometime not regular enough for firms to be able to share ideas or ask a peer or friend in another firm, when they have a problem. The Legal Records Group on LinkedIn now provides this platform for them".
Although the group has been going for just 3 weeks we already have over 200 member! Proving that during the current economic climate firms are now starting to take records management very seriously given the huge operational costs involved and the growing levels of risk exposure from clients AND regulators.
The Legal Records Management Group on LinkedIn provides a platform for records managers (as well as Risk & IT professionals) within the Legal & Professional Services sectors to share ideas, hot topics, information & challenges, or simply as a sounding board. There should be little or no input from commercial vendors so firms are free to raise any issues "as they are" without the worry of receiving numerous unwanted sales calls. Legal RM also offer to opportunity to post questions or information anonymously as well .
If interested, please do feel free to join the group, comment on any of the posts, start discussion threads or post whitepapers and interesting news, seminars, conferences and information as you see fit.
